Visual Journal- different way to document everyday memories

Hey! Kasia here today with some fun project which I'd like to share with you. The idea of this visual journal was born last summer when I was looking for some fresh idea which would let me to document everyday life in a chronological order, a bit different way than through scrapbooking layouts. I was considering Project Life for a while, but I wasn't sure if it would work for me, I wanted something super simple, something I could take on holiday with me or make while watching a movie. One day I grabbed a notebook, some pens and crayons, simple stamps and photos and started playing with them. Since than I've been filling my visual journal frequently and I love how relaxing and easy it is. Today I want to show you one of the recent pages:

As you can see it's super simple! Just some photos, which probably otherwise would be stuck in my photo box forever, some businness cards I collected on that day, washi and of corse tags and stamps from Ormolu! The Words Up stamps are perfect for this project and I'm so looking forward to take them with me when we go travelling this spring! Here are some close ups:

What do you think about documenting everyday life this way? I think it's really fun thing to try! I love being able to take a simple set of supplies wherever I go and capture some memories when they are still fresh.

London memory

Hey! It's Kasia here, first time sharing my project on Ormolu blog! 

I was waiting for an opportunity to use this photo of my boyfriend holding coffee cup from one of our favorite coffee shops in London- lovely Monmouth situated jsut next to amazing Borough Market. As soon as I received my Ormolu package I knew that it was perfect match with items from No.25 line. Than I started playing with some extra embelishments and decided to use some Bungalow paper elements and a little flair from No.25 line. I also used some package- this notebook paper- to add another layer under my photo. 

To finish off I stamped some geotags and stars on my layout and filled them in a bit with white pen.

The simple shapes of tags and color scheme which I used in this layout were constantly reminding me of London underground so I decided to try to add some tube lines to the base of the layout with my sewing machine. I really like the extra texture and a little color they add!

So, this is it, I mixed here christmas and home related line to create a page about the coffee in the city :) As you can see these products are really versatile! Have a lovely and creative weekend!

*Winter layers*

Hey, Ormolu fans!! Jennifer Kinkade here! :)

Although, I am not a huge lover of the Winter season, I must admit there are some things that I enjoy about the Winter months, like layering clothes and accessories.

Scarves are one of my favorite things to change up an outfit from time to time.

As I was looking through my Ormolu goodies, I thought why not use some of the items from the no. 25 collection for a Wintery-type page! It's totally doable since the items aren't specifically colored to use just for Christmas! It's kinda like using up your Christmas/December stash in a creative way! ;)

It's easy to use and mix different elements and "layer" them to achieve your desired look--perfect for my layering Winter layout! :)

I especially loved using the snowflake image flair to coordinate with my layout!

Hey there Ormolu lovers. Today I’m excited to be here on the blog to share some of the new No.25 Christmas line. The colors in this collection are so unique that I just had to play with it. I searched through my winter photos and found the most perfect one for this layout. Check it out.

 

 I created this 12x12 layout starting with some Basic Grey paper that had just the right amount of texture to it. I kept it simple with patterned paper and only added two large banners cut from Echo Park patterned paper. I then added a little bit of kraft behind my photos and went to layering. The photos below show you better details.

 

I layered the circles with flair and stitching. I sprinkled in some Studio Calico veneer snowflakes that I glittered. I stacked tags and mounted them with 3D squares and finished the page off with some typed journaling. My font is call “Mom’s Typewriter” from DaFont.com. I wish I had a real typewriter, but I do love this font for this purpose.
