Hey everyone! I've been working on several things all at once so I am quite excited to share my latest collection with Carta Bella, Wildflower!
This collection is really dear to me because it's inspired by my own surroundings, here in Colorado. You can probably tell from last post I really love it here.
The collection includes several hand drawn florals, some popular aztec designs and woodgrains along with several more eclectic/ trendy patterns including ikats and sequins.
I really am quite fond of this color scheme lately...I think I fall back in love with purple every fall. The colors are rich enough to use on autumn layouts but not overwhelming for any other season either.
Of course, being a pocket scrapper, I love the 3x4 and 4x6 cards! I love that I was able to include some photographic images in this collection. Some of them with overlapping typography.
Wildflower is definitely a work from my heart. It started off with me drawing these little florals and it slowly grew into a collection. I wasn't sure where it was going at first...but then one day it just clicked when I drew up a little pile of polaroids for the sticker sheet. Although the inspiration for this collection is from our families visits to the mountains, I wanted it to be suitable for everyday memories and so much of the typography and wording can be used for many types of layouts.
I love how it came out to be a somewhat sophisticated and trendy look for what is an eclectic and outdoor adventure type of theme.
My husband gave the collection two thumbs up- so I think it's safe to use on boy layouts too ;)
The stickers include several of Wildflower's iconic designs and some other fun elements! I hope you love this collection as much as I do!
The collection starts shipping to stores in mid-October!
