Hi everyone! It's Pam here today and I am going to show you an idea I had for reusing the product packaging. I keep all of my Ormolu goodies in a little basket and when I used some of them up, I hung on to the packaging so I could stick little treats in them, wrap some twine around it, add a note and have a quick little gift to give.
We are going to use the sentiment strips from the 2-Day Hooray Cut Sheet. Grab some candy bars and twine and pretty patterned paper and we are set to go.
To cover the top part of the packaging (that has the hole-NOT the opening part), I cut a strip of patterned paper the width of the packaging and folded it over, then stitched it shut. I then adhered the hip-hip hooray! sentiment strip to the top of the packaging, added a second little sentiment I created on the computer and stitched that on. I filled the bag with treats (get it-hip-hip hooray! congrats on making all A's...and I used smarties?!) and sealed it up.
For these 2, I took some of the smaller packaging and trimmed a piece of patterned paper the width of the packaging. Then I wrapped the sentiment strip around the packaging, overlapping the patterned paper, and stitched that on. I added some twine and candy bars, then sealed the bag. Unfortunately, I had bought 3 candy bars to go in the 3 Cheers bag, but only 2 would fit...so I had to eat one;)
There you go! I hope you start saving your packaging...there are so many options as far as what to fill the packaging with!
