I am blessed to be a work at home mom and started my stationery design business, Ormolu, in 2007 while attending college for Interior Design. While working on assignments for my degree I realized I actually had more fun designing the presentations for my projects. Additionally I was teaching at a local scrapbook store and started designing custom embellishments for my classes. After graduation I decided to invest more time and energy into Ormolu rather than look for a career in Interior Design. In 2009 I adapted a green philosophy and began using only recycled papers and implemented soy ink and wind power to create my products. The products I design for my line have a tendency to the cross the lines of stationery and scrapbooking, as I have a deep love for the vast world of paper.
Currently (and pretty much always) I have strong affections for stationery, coffee, podcasts, florals, little baby toes and kisses, playing with my daughter's long hair and laughing with her, sitting on the floor criss- cross applesauce style, philosophy bath products, taking deep breaths and saying a prayer when I am overwhelmed or need clarity, shea butter for this dry climate I live in, carrying multiple moleskin books everywhere I go, sharpie pens, cloth diapers, every minute of sleep, coffee, buttons, burts bee chapstick, bare escentuals makeup, iced coffee and...some other stuff.
