Hi! Valerie here today and it's my turn to share a new layout with you. The layout may be new but the photos are not (hello again 2009). They have been waiting patiently in my large, always growing, pile-o-photos—waiting for that spark of inspiration and/or perfect product. Well...product found. Thank you Ormolu!
To start this layout, I started with white cardstock and cut some thin straight strips from some scraps. I laid them on the page and then spritzed on some Mister Huey to mimic the stage lighting in the photos. Everything else just kinda fell into place from there. I can't get enough of the five-star rating stamp! I'm itching to stamp it on every upcoming page and rate each and every event or experience. The mix of clean & graphic Ormolu tags with the stripes, black and white photos, and mist provides that edgy vibe I was aiming for.
I'm not much of a concert goer, but I willingly go support fellow University of Central Missouri Alumnus/acquaintance and Season 7 American Idol winner, David Cook, when he's doing a concert nearby. During my undergrad days, I used to go to this little hole in the wall venue on Pine Street and support Axium (his former band) in Battle of the Bands.
