I really could've used this card for Pamella's challenge yesterday, too. The anniversary of the day I met my husband is fast approaching. We met on March 16, 1994 at a birthday party for a mutual friend. Seven years ago we were expecting our daughter and had to pick a date for my c-section. She was due at the end of March, but I was having pre-term labor issues so the doctor recommended mid-March. We chose March 16 because we thought it would be fun for her to be born on the 11th anniversary of the day we met. We were right, she loves the story and tells everyone about it on her birthday each year.
I decided to make a card to give to the Mr. on our special day, but this card would be appropriate for many different occasions. It went together fairly quickly and isn't too feminine. I love the clean graphic designs that Ormolu releases each time. You can make them girlie, or masculine. I cut the flapper in half and used one part with the circle and fabric tags, and the other part behind the "e" in "every".
Pull out your supplies and scraps and make up some cards to have on hand. They don't take long, and it is so nice to be able to just grab a pre-prepared handmade creation to send to a loved one, rather than running to the store and buying one.
