I'm a huge fan of drawing inspiration from other sources. Whether it be a blog, Pinterest, flowers and vegetables from the farmer's market or a magazine, I have a huge mental file of fantastic things that I see and am inspired by.
I found this image on Pinterest a while back:
and decided to draw on both the colors and the theme for this layout:
I started with a basic page, then I layered the Line & Letter Fabric Swatch on top of a Line & Letter Mix Tag, on top of three Negative Number Package Tags that had paper backing the negative space, then I stitched everything down.
Finally I added a little mist, a few brads and a stamp. I added some simple journaling by drawing lines on one of the tags, added the "Go" button from the Go Button Embellishments, and viola! Done!
So keep your eye out for everyday items that will inspire your pages!
