Good morning! Marti here with a quick and easy home décor project using Ormolu’s GO Dots & Spots, some cardstock, and a simple frame. As my daughter would say: “easy peasy lemon squeezy”.
My son, Brendan, wants to re-do his room using airplanes as his theme. When I saw Ormolu’s new GO line, I knew it would be perfect for making a few things for his room.
I found some frames on clearance at the store a few months ago for $1 each. Score! I removed everything from the frame and placed a 5x7 piece of kraft cardstock in front of the glass, then re-assembled it. I wanted to add dimension to the circles, but needed to utilize the glass to add thickness so everything would stay in place within the frame.
Next, I selected the images I wanted to use. They weren’t all the same size, so in order to add uniformity; I punched six 1-3/4” circles of red carstock as a backing to each image and adhered them to the kraft. One of my circle images was too big, so I used my 1-1/2” circle punch to re-size it.
Note: I had to trim the edge of the circle slightly to get it to fit into my circle punch.
Then I used foam adhesive to give the Dots & Spots some dimension and lift them slightly off the page.
Brendan was thrilled when he came home and found his new piece of art for his bedroom.
